So, if you would like to persuade me, it would help if you provided resources to back up your beliefs.

Each side has their lies. Each side has their points. It must be carefully examined before we go about accusing the other of nonsense.PSACHNOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17092909813584111387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4575900741330808332.post-4453632687805247132012-04-15T22:16:50.725-07:002012-04-15T22:16:50.725-07:00Your description of how Israel came to exist can&#...Your description of how Israel came to exist can't be based upon reading any book on the subject, because it bears no relation to what actually happened. The Jews didn't invade, they immigrated in large numbers under the Ottomans and then under the British. They bought their land and cultivated it. Many of them were fleeing persecution in other parts of the world.

The Israeli war of Independence was not an invasion. The Israelis and Palestinians were both given a state by one of the first actions of the UN, except the the Palestinians turned it down, and the surrounding Arab states attacked the nascent Israeli state.

The subsequent history is much more complicated, but your description is nonsense, because it doesn't recognise the historical exceptionalism of the diaspora, or of the Jewish people, as a persecuted minority without a homeland.James Armstronghttp://www.jamesarmstrong.org.uknoreply@blogger.com
